We have used each of these Vachan in all our products and depicted them in the form of Symbols, Text and Colors.

 

The or Sevene Vows or "Saptapadi" in Sanskrit translates to "seven steps." It is a pivotal moment in a Hindu wedding ceremony where the couple takes seven steps together, making seven promises to each other. These steps are taken around a sacred fire, known as the Agni, which is considered a witness to their vows.

 

The first vow is a promise of nourishment by the couple to each other. In this, the groom and the bride promise to take enough care of the nourishment of each other and of the family by sharing equal responsibilities. And will be equally responsible for providing food and happiness to each other and their children. The color used to represent this is orange.

The second vow entails the couple growing together in strength. In the second vow, the groom and the bride promise to protect each other and their children. They promise that in all endeavours and ventures, they will never give up and face every challenge shoulder to shoulder. They promise to become one another’s strength. Red is the shade that is used to portray its significance.

The third promise is to preserve the wealth collectively. In the third vow, the newlyweds promise to earn enough wealth to provide good education to the children and to live a secure life. No better colour than green can depict wealth and prosperity. It is a colour that represents hope for a better future.

The seventh vow is the last one which adds completion to the ritual of 7 pheras, in this vow the couple pledge to each other to remain lifelong friends and declares that from now on, they are each other’s husband and wife for lifelong. They pray for their happy married life. Yellow is the colour of cheerfulness, and fun, also used as a colour of mind and intellect. It is a colour that will characterize the seventh vow.
